2014 Award of Distinction

An orientation film shown in the FLSHA visitor’s center, Fort Loudoun: Forsaken by God and Man, is recognized for its scholarship, storytelling, and preservation of history.  The documentary is an introductory film that gives tourists and school groups an overview of the dramatic story and significance of Fort Loudoun (1756-1759), a British fort during the French and Indian War.  More than 100 reenactors from 11 states donated their time and services for the production.  Present for dinner and award acceptance were Hobart Akin and Eric Hughey.
